All pupils are to:

  • Report to school in the morning at the usual time for the flag raising ceremony if the paper is scheduled as the first paper of the day. If their first exam paper for the day is scheduled at or after 9.00am, then pupils are to report at a specified meeting venue in the school, 45 minutes before their paper commences.
  • Continue to do self-study at the holding area after the flag raising ceremony until an invigilator fetches them to the exam room.
  • Be seated in the exam room at least 10 minutes before the commencement of each paper. Pupils who are more than 30 minutes late from the start of their exam paper may be barred from sitting for the paper.
  • Be seated in the exam room according to register number.
  • Put all unauthorised materials (eg books, bags, etc) outside the exam room. Do not put them on the window ledges or hang them at the doors or windows. Instead they are to leave them neatly on the floor, but without causing obstruction to the passage along the corridor.
  • Raise their hands quietly to get the attention of the invigilators if they need clarifications.
  • Use blue or black ink, unless the instructions on the exam paper states otherwise.
  • Remain seated in the exam room throughout the full duration of the exam paper.

  • Ask for additional time to complete their exam papers if they are late for their exam paper.
  • Leave the exam room without the invigilator's permission.
  • Take any examination writing paper (used or unused) out of the exam room.
  • Pupils may be barred from the examinations if they are not properly attired.
